About the project

Falkowski is a private orthodontic organisation operating a nationwide network of partner dental clinics delivering clear aligner treatments within the Invisalign ecosystem. Beyond clinical support, our client acts as a coordinating body for a growing orthodontic clinic network and ensures consistent treatment standards, patient communication, and quality of care across all partner locations.

As the network expanded, reliance on emails, shared folders and static documents became a limiting factor. The project focused on building a secure, centralised digital platform for orthodontic clinic networks that enables controlled access to clinical and operational resources, supports structured onboarding of partner clinics and reinforces consistent standards across the network.

The platform is a part of a wider digital landscape, which also includes an ongoing patient-facing website delivered in parallel to support the end-to-end patient journey.

What did our client need?

Scaling a private dental network introduced a set of challenges common to multi-clinic healthcare organisations.

Inconsistent use of clinical and educational materials

Although partner clinics received training resources and guidelines, their practical adoption was limited. Materials were shared, but not embedded into daily workflows, reducing their impact on treatment quality and consistency, across the orthodontic clinic network.

Fragmented knowledge and communication

Clinical documentation, training content, and operational guidance were distributed across multiple channels, making updates difficult and increasing the risk of outdated or inconsistent information being used in practice.

Limited visibility and governance

There was no single system to manage partner access, roles or participation within the network, limiting oversight and making growth harder to control, in a scaling dental and orthodontic clinic network.

Manual onboarding and partner management

Bringing new clinics into the network required significant manual effort, which did not scale alongside network growth.

Working with a non-technical healthcare organisation

The project required close collaboration with a client team without a technical background. Clear communication, structured processes, and proactive ownership were essential to translate clinical and operational needs into a scalable healthcare digital platform without disrupting day-to-day clinical work.

The platform needed to address not only technology gaps, but also behavioural adoption and long-term operational sustainability.

How did we approach it?

The project was delivered as a long-term partnership focused on operational outcomes rather than a single technology release.

Discovery-led delivery

Work began with a proof of concept and extended discovery to understand clinical workflows, partner expectations and network-level constraints. This phase shaped both the platform structure and the adoption strategy.

Infrastructure built for private healthcare scale

Using AWS CDK, we implemented infrastructure as code, ensuring:

  • consistent and secure environments,

  • predictable deployments,

  • scalability aligned with network growth.

This approach supports long-term maintainability of the orthodontic clinic network platform and future extensions, including automation and advanced analytics.

Secure access aligned with clinical roles

Authentication and authorisation were implemented using a standard OIDC flow based on OpenIddict. This enabled role-based access control aligned with real clinical and organisational responsibilities, while remaining flexible for future integrations.

Coordinated work on the patient-facing website

In parallel, a new patient-facing website for Falkowski Dental Clinic is being developed as part of the broader ecosystem. The website focuses on explaining the value of clear aligner treatment, supporting patient education and reinforcing quality standards across the network.

The scope includes UX and visual design, WordPress-based implementation, multilingual support, booking integrations and analytics. Although delivered by a separate stream, work is closely coordinated to ensure alignment between patient experience and clinic operations.

Collaborative operating model

Regular status calls, shared roadmaps and live demos ensured alignment between clinical leadership, operational stakeholders, and the delivery team.

What did we deliver?

We delivered a scalable partner platform designed specifically for a private network of orthodontic and dental clinics.

The solution includes:

  • a centralised knowledge hub that makes clinical and operational resources easy to find and actively usable,

  • a partner clinic dashboard supporting daily engagement with the network,

  • a structured onboarding and approval process for new clinics,

  • secure, role-based access control aligned with clinical responsibilities,

  • a cloud-native AWS infrastructure designed for reliability and growth.
